(same as in Software Forum)
On my Radeon AIW (32M Radeon)…

When I play OpenGL and (some) Direct3D games in Win2000 (Half Life, Tribes2, Serious Sam) the refresh of the monitor is set to 60Hz. Even when I set the graphics to the same settings as my desktop 1000x700x32bpp, I still get 60Hz. My monitor supports 100Hz at that resolution.

I couldn’t find any settings in the OpenGL and D3D settings tab in the graphics properties, so I was wondering if anyone knew how I could change this to be an optimal setting , or the setting of the desktop. I would rather not use powerstrip. Also, the same games in Win98 do not do this.

I’m running version 6018 of the radeon drivers. I’m fairly new to playing games in Win2000..I always used to dualboot.

Thanks in advance.

Drivers drivers drivers. Keep trying different versions until you get one that works...

Give this utility a look and let us know if it works for you: RefreshLock (http://www.pagehosting.co.uk/rl/).

Hope this helps. :)
