I just moved. I was wondering if anyone wants to share with me a good deal on a long distance carrier. Is Quest still the best or is something else better?

In my opinion, Qwest/Essential is still the best. That is what we use (we got in when you got $75 for switching)and we haven't paid more than $12 for long distance since we started and I call my family in Oklahoma 3 or 4 times a week. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

freeway (2 minutes of LD per ad listened to) and I-link (up to 60 free mins per call) are all I use.

I use Excel. As far as I can find, they're the cheapest. I don't know the number to call or anything, but I'm sure you can try the 800-directory service. Maybe just price it.

I'll be switching to GTC Telecom soon. It's $0.05/min anytime.

NO:
monthly fee
per-call connnct charge
minimum usage requirement
difference in weekend/weekday billing rate
difference in day/night/evening billing rate
1010 or 800 number to dial

I'm not too impressed with Essential.com. I've been well through my first 30-day billing cycle and they are still telling me I have no bill. After I provided them with my apt. #, they still have it missing in my customer info (even after I called their 800 number and emailed them). Finally, their customer support form is just plain stupid. Looks like they still have a lot of kinks to work out...

bigzoo.com is pretty cool. you can call anyone anytime at 3.9 cents a minute. only bad thing is that sometimes you will get a busy signal and have to try two or three times. all in all its great though. www.bigzoo.com (http://www.bigzoo.com)

Sign up through www.onlinechoice.com (http://www.onlinechoice.com) and it's only $0.0475/min. They will give you $20 for switching through July 4. Been using GTC for 6 weeks or so thus far without any problems...
