that's more like it... i couldn't believe the buggers originally sold for $100. it was nice returning em for credit at walmart last summer, tho :D

and if you really want one, they sell for like $20 on ebay right now - unopened.

I am in no way flaming anyone, I am jsut curious, what can be done with this thing that would be worth buying? I looked around and all I can find is that if you have friends that have them in your vicinity you can IM them, fill me in.

They are really meant for the teenage range (ages 12-19 probably) for IMing buddies at school, playing games and such. Adults buy them too because they are neat-looking gadgets. I never saw the use in them especially since not many other people have them to interface with. That is why they sell for $30 on eBay. I think it will die the same fate as Yes! Entertainment's "VLINK" phones, pseudo-cell phone toys for teens that operated on 900mhz in the early 90s.

They sell for $30 on ebay because so many thousands of us got them free during Cybiko's horribly botched contest last summer.
