PowerToys (XP): What Gives?

Anyone know if M$ has formally said why they pulled their PowerToys for Windows XP from their website?

They say their updating it and it'll be available in spring, but why did the pull the non-updated version?

Yikes! I have the PowerToys installed on three different computers and haven't noticed anything.

Any idea where i can find out what they were? I've searched the web, but came up empty handed.

Well, if there's nothing critically wrong with the PowerToys for XP, here's a link (http://expert.cc.purdue.edu/~jameslee/PowerToys.exe) just in case anyone wants to try them but can't find them online.
