I saw this in the back of the last maximumpc. Check out the company here.

RackShack, Gotapex Link (http://www.rackshack-affiliates.net/t.asp?id=2002)

If I could afford this, I might get this to mirror things on, such as trillian, or counterstrike, but I am just a college student.

hmmm...seems good at first, but instead of paying $99 a month for that, wouldn't you be better off paying $40 a month for Cable or DSL and taking the other $59 a month and putting it toward building a computer yourself?

In a year you'll have $708 ($99 - $40(Cable or DSL) = $59 a month * 12 months) which is MORE than plenty to build yourself a sweet machine, with WAY more than 20GB if all you want to use it for is a mirror server.

Just my opinion...but the math seems to work out that way

Oh...and sorry...another $15 a year for the Domain Name

oh oh...and the server software...you have to pay for that too you know ;-)

300GB transfer would likely indicate upload strem is not limited in the same way as cable/DSL. I just got a job with an ISP/Web Hosting company and OMG they have bandwidth coming out of their proverbial ears!!! Redundant DS3s, Powervault storage from Dell, and an IT staff to secure and protect their clients sites.

Dedicated servers aren't really THAT critical unless you have some major usage anyways.

PM me if interested and I'll see what I can do. I'm starting with them Monday, but will be their primary MCSE so I'll likely be the one doing the host install.

If you want to check them out on your own, http://www.digiconcommunications.com
