Hey y'all - I just got back from Spain, so I don't know if you've all already gotten on this, but if not, here's what I did.

1. Added the attache case to my cart:
http://www.staples.com/Products/Themes/Special_Offers/Staples/Attache10/Default.asp?sourceid=00202418740754842594

2. Added the VTech Model 918 (the one with an answering machine, or the one with dual keypads and speakerphone - you can even choose a lower model and get money back!)
http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/SKU.asp?BCFlag=False&PageType=1&SKU=389583

3. Take a minute to print out the $20 rebate linked to the page:
http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Includes/EventLog.asp?EventLogArea=4&SKU=389583&RedirectURL=http://www.staplesrebates.com/clients/staples/rebates/rebates_list_offers.jsp?findtype=pr oductid&findvalue=10416&url=%2FCatalog%2FBrowse%2FSKU%2Easp%3FBCFlag%3DFalse%26PageType%3D1%26SKU%3D389583%26ASIMPR%3D614%26 ASTAGS%3DAd%2ESize%2Ev250AdSize%2Bsku%2Etext

4. Put Encarta 2000 in the cart - and there's a $25 rebate in the box:
http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/SKU.asp?BCFlag=False&PageType=1&SKU=392051

And there you are - now check out, and use coupons: 90779 and 90530, which will zap your total (in my case), from $114.94 to $49.95, then finalize your order - when the stuff comes, send in the $20 VTech rebate and the $25 Microsoft rebate for a final purchase price of $4.95.

Whee! I'm back!
-Ben

Yeah sounds good, but on the rebate form it says:
Offer not valid with any other rebates, offers or promotions.
And you have another rebate and another offer. So good luck.

hello..do you guys know if this promo is still valid? I know the vtech rebates are good, but how about the $25 off $50 or more purchase Staples coupon? and the free attache case, calculator, film, camera, batteries?

thanks for the info...do you think the rebate thing is good? i ordered the phone 1 week ago and sent the rebate as soon as I received the phone..it said not to be combined with any other offer..but just to be safe..I saved a copy of staples add which illustrates the $49.99 - $20 mail in rebate
thing..so in case I need to contact VTECH about it.

All the rebates things sound good to me - worst case scenario, if they charge me more than the $49.95 and won't accept the purchase price that I saw in the cart when I clicked finalize, I'll just tell my bank not to pay them and let the gods of MasterCard and Staples duke it out.

The $25 off $50 coupons died on 06/23/00. There are some $20 off $50 though. If you need them posted let me know.

As far as those freebies, I think only the batteries is still alive. I hit Apex's old link, and it seems the promo code has changed, and now it can't be combined with ANY other coupon, so no freebies including the attache http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif
