'Bin Laden' Drug Packets Found
Thu Feb 7, 1:25 PM ET
NEW YORK - A drug arrest turned up nine envelopes of heroin labeled "Bin Laden" on the front and showing a plane headed toward the World Trade Center on the back, authorities said Thursday.
The packaging wasn't surprising, Queens District Attorney Richard Brown said.
"The drug trade is the sub-basement of our society where anything goes and degradation rules," Brown said in a statement. "So I guess it was inevitable that drug dealers would seek to capitalize on our nation's worst atrocity — the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center — by marking its poison in this manner."
The packets were found after police stopped a car for making an illegal turn and spotted a bag of cocaine on the driver's seat, Brown said.
Police searching passenger Simone Duzant, 24, found the heroin labeled "Bin Laden" in bright red, along with cocaine and marijuana, the district attorney said.
Cocaine and marijuana were also found in the car's back seat, Brown said.
Duzant and the three other women in the car were arrested on drug possession charges. Each faces a maximum of 25 years in prison if convicted.

oooo....kayyyyyyyyy....
i not only don't get the appeal of bin laden as a marketing tool. i don't see how a user would be more attracted to using "bin laden" heroin. i don't see how sellers would feel better about the product.
it's given that users are not exactly too swift to begin with. also given is that the sellers are not too...um...nice. i guess i just don't get it. or maybe i don't want to get it.
oh, and before i forget...the front seat is not the best hiding place for drugs
