I was just blurring out my address, but the font was so small that I might as well have blurred the name too. Everyone knows by name on this board so there's no harm in leaving my signature on it. Or is there? :hmm:

Don't worry, I'm not even allowed to drive. In California, it's illegal to drive without insurance. My parents won't even get me insurance until my brother passes his driving test (so they only have to make one trip down to AAA). Given my brother's foggy past (crashed car into parked car on our driveway, made a rolling stop on last driving test), I don't think I'll be driving anytime soon.

I just noticed...they let you face the camera. In Texas, if you're under 18 you have to take the picture looking sideways.

Actually, I think they stopped doing that. Instead, they have those new licenses for those under 18. It's aligned vertically instead of horizontally and it looks weird.

In California the big blue bar indicates you are under 18 and the picture on the right as well as the big red bar indicates you are under 21. So when you turn 18 they take away that blue bar and when you turn 21 they remove the red bar and move your picture from the right to the left. Make sense?

Here in PA, you get a license that says "JUNIOR LICENSE" until your 18, and they all say Under 21 until...

congradulations!

and in NJ, it is SO easy to forge licences.
1. the pictures are not digital, they are film, so there is no copy of your mug at the dmv
2. all the dmv's are privataly owned, so even though all are supposed to look alike, most licences are varying shades of the correct color.
3. it has this hologram on the front of the licence, but the licences are just laminated, so its really easy to forge it.
4. when u are under 21 you look to the side, over 21 u look foward. there are no big red flags that say u are underage on these babies.
*trust me, i've used my real licence at bars plenty-o-times when i was underage. they didn't actually ever do the math!
