tv out question

[confusion]

i have a visiontek geforce 3 with tv out. i hook it up to my sony wega 20" and the image does not stretch across the whole screen. is there a way i can fix that?
also, for some reason, it will only let me show the display on either the monitor or tv. is there a way i can enable them both to show?
