OK, I have a RAID array in my server, on this array I keep my mp3s, word documents, etc. I have a standalong 30 gig drive in this computer as well that I would like to use for mirroring of certain directories. Is there a program out there that will automatically copy a file from a certain folder to another folder?
Example: I make a new word document and save it to the server. I want the server to automatically copy that file to the other hard drive for me.
Thanks

It depends on what operating system you're dealing with. With WinXP you can have a scheduled task to run the backup program. The only problem is that the smallest period of time is not that small. You can have it backup files when the computer starts, when you logon, at a predetermined time, or daily.
Here's a program that works on Windows (any version) that may help you: http://backup.novosoft-us.com/index.html
With a Linux machine, just set up a crontab to backup the files whenever you want. You can set up a program (shell script) to backup you files and have it run as often as you want. Here's a page with crontab info: http://www.superscripts.com/tutorial/crontab.html.
If a machine attached to your server is going to do the backups, make sure that the permissions to the directory are set correctly.

Veritas NetBackup Professional will do this as well - it treats the second drive as a backup device & dumps your files there at whatever interval you specify.

Don't know how much it costs tho - may be pricy. Veritas isn't cheap...
