5 years ago there would have been protests at this idea.
10 years ago there would have been huge protests and demonstrations
15 years ago there would have been huge riots about this
20 years ago there would be an open revolt if this was tried.
5 years from now there will be lines at clinics to have this done.
For once I am agreeing with the church on something. "The Mark of the Beast" is a total revocation of all our freedoms. Whatever spin they put on it, it is big brother watching us. We are not free if we are afraid to express ourselves. The spin doctors will make it all good and wonderful to have the chip. Then it will become, no chip? What are you hiding? Then "No chip? Your under arrest, you must be a criminal!".
Look at what the govt. did with Social Security numbers! Social Security numbers were only allowed because it was guarenteed that they would not be used to track people in any way. They would only be used to administer the Social Security program, not even to be used for taxes...
These chips will soon include GPSes and biomonitoring. We will be tracked everywhere we go. How do you feel about being mailed a speeding ticket because you chip was traveling over the speed limit for more than a minute? Or being arrested because your biochip showed a change in metrics consistant to the use of pot? Or being arested because you were in an area that had a protest when you walked by there? The list goes on and gets worse...
Why are peeps woried about BS like cloning when something this serious is sneaking up on us?!?

I think the forehead would be the best placement, that way it could be easily seen from far away. It will make the job of cops looking for those none patriotic terrorist easy.

Say what you will about owning a gun, at least I won't be defending my house with a butter knife.

Defending your house from what exactly? I'd rather have a bat and if someone walks into my house beat them to a pulp with that then shoot someone that was not a robber. Guns don't kill people, the idiots holding them do.

If you went through consealed weapons training you'd know that you dont confront someone who came into your house unless you absolutely have to. God forbid I ever have to shoot someone, but if push comes to shove i have the ability and you don't. If some dude breaks into your house with a shotgun you don't have a chance of stopping him from raping your wife or killing your kids with a baseball bat.
To each his own though, and a lot of people feel safer without a gun which is fine by me, but I think you should respect that some people do and avoid calling them "stupid" or "idiots," when they have an equally valid stance.

You could say the same thing about "idiots" holding a baseball bat.
Personally, I think people should have the right to defend their homes in anyway they see fit. Unfortunately, most people don't choose the right weapon for the job. Honestly, an automatic rifle or pistol isn't going to cause anything but problems. If you want something to defend your home and family, get a 12 gauge with 00/000 Buck. That way, you can rip a person in half, and the shot won't penetrate the wall and hurt someone on the other side.
But I see what you mean, W|zard... if you want to be a gung ho Rambo and "take someone out" with a bat or whatever, that's fine. But remember, when you are fighting in the defense of your friends/family, losing is not an option.

Leslie, Derek (center), and Jeffrey Jacobs hope to become the first family in the world to be implanted with a microchip containing their personal information.
did anyone else not realize that derek (center) was their son?
I thought it was their sister or something... :P
Then I read the caption, and they specified which one was the son...and I was like....ahhhhh

Derek, an eighth-grader who became a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer at age 12, fantasizes about merging humans and machines.
ok, the kid's a freak. he doesn't fit in and he's hoping that in a world consisting of human/machine combos, he would be more normal.
fat chance.

I got the mossberg persuader 12 gauge. Its a bad bitch. In this day and age with people like me owning a gun you'd have to be on crack to break into someones house.
Hahaha! The "Persuader"... That's a pretty sweet name. :heh:
I'll admit that name is cooler than my "Nova".
