Now that BestBuy.com is opened, does anyone know if that coupon for $200 off a $200+ purchase that swam around the boards for awhile actually work?

There was never a $200 off $200 coupon. It was just a hoax that somebody changed from the $20 coupon BB was giving out.
They'll be mailing out the $20 GC shortly to everybody who signed up, so if you signed up 1/2 year ago you're in luck. Otherwise, you missed out http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/frown.gif

I was wondering if you've redeemed this yet...
I got an e-mail saying that I have $20 in my account, but when I try to log on using the e-mail address, they say that I'm not a registered user.
thanx

Well, this is what they replied to me when I emailed them about the gift certificate. At first they said that they didn't know anything about it. And I replied back telling to find someone who did know something about it because I have the original email they sent me.

Hello!
Thank you very much for contacting BestBuy.com. All of your questions and
requests are extremely important to us.
We would like to apologize for any confusion. The digital gift certificate
that you received must be applied as a credit to your order. Because of
this, we must first authorize the credit card you use on the order for the
full amount of the order. Please verify with your lending institution that
the credit card you wish to use can be authorized for the total amount of
the order. After the order is placed, you will receive a credit for the
full amount of your digital gift certificate. If you do not use the entire
credit, you will retain the difference for use on a later order.
If you attempted to place an order with your digital gift certificate but
your authorization failed and you no longer have the ability to use your
digital gift certificate, you will still be able to use your certificate!
You will regain access to your digital gift certificate soon. When you do
use your certificate again please make sure that the credit card you use can
be authorized for the full amount of your order. Thank you for your
patience!
Thank you again for writing to BestBuy.com. We appreciate your patronage.
Sincerely,
BestBuy.com Customer Care

Well, there's a problem with that, I never got a digital certificate. So how am I supposed to use it?
