I got home earlier today from a weekend in Running Springs (just below Big Bear) and took a lot of pictures. I got this camera just before we left for the vacation. Here are a few that I took, except one, of course. ;)

These are large pictures (1600x1200):

I can't beleive the batteries are still good. They are non-rechargable CR-V3 Lithium AA batteries. I went ahead and got some Monster Power 1800mAh NiMH rechargable batteries and a charger the same day I got the camera because I didn't think the Lithiums would last. I took about 100 pictures, like 6 movies, accessed the picures on a tv with the A/V cable 5 times, and transferred all the pictures to the harddrive. I also used the large lcd to take a lot of the pictures and went through the pictures many times using the lcd.

I have a zip file which contains most of the pictures/movies (about 53) if anyone wants to get it. I will give you access to my ftp. The file is 38MB.

sweet d00d! we've got the same camera.

You should play around with night shots on a 4 or 5 sec exposure adn capture lights going by you. Get a damn good tripod though :)

I'm using 1500mah NiMH cells. I get around 70pics and 10 movies with them, and leave the thing connected to the computer all the time, and i always run the LCD. I'm SUPER impressed with this camera and its battery usage!

I'm kept my Lithium batts as backup batts, incase my NiMH ones go dead when i dont expect it (i couldn't vind a very accurate battery meter on the camera). So far so good - still working great.
