Beware of FTD. I placed an order for flowers and a balloon for a friend's birthday using a coupon code. Needless to say, the flowers that were delivered were not even close to the caliber of the flowers that were ordered. Plus, oops they forgot the balloon. After 15 minutes on hold they refunded the amount of the balloon and that was all! Imagine how much they save on the people that don't complain or even find out. Long story short, don't order from FTD you don't get what you pay for, and as far as customer service it is customer "dis" service!

Thanks for the warning. From my experiences with them they should rename the company FTC. For: F**k The Customer.

I had flowers and a teddy bear sent to someone, also using a code. They forgot the teddy bear. Two days and five phone calls later, they finally delivered the bear. They really wanted to refund my money rather than make another trip, but finally decided they'd had enough of my complaining and brought the bear over.
I will not use FTD again. Will stick to the mom & pop shops.

My usual method: find a local (to the recipient) florist that will take a delivery order over the phone and bill your cc. I often just tell them to deliver a $20 (or some amount) bouquet of fresh flowers. You usually end up with twice the flowers at half the cost of ftd.
