Ok so I'm the Network Admin here at my work. This morning I say good morning to this lady, and without losing a beat she asks me if I was the one who deleted all her files from her computer. I'm like no way why would I do that? She's all, "well you were at my desk when I was gone". I'm all yep that's right but I was just resetting your password for your email account. And she's all "well I found my folder entitled 'Bitch's email(name withheld)' in my trash can." Then she tells me how vital that info was and that I was the only one at her desk when she was gone. She rounded the corner as to get in the last word.

LOOK YOU STUPID BIOTCH IF I WANTED TO DELETE YOUR FILES I WOULDN'T LEAVE THEM IN THE TRASH CAN FOR YOU TO RECOVER THEM! JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE ELSE HAS IT IN FOR YOU, RIGHTFULLY SO BECAUSE YOU ARE SUCH A BITCH, DOESNT MEAN THAT EVERYONE HAS IT OUT FOR YOU!!! KEEP YOUR ACCUSING FINGER AWAY FROM MY DIRECTION BEFORE I SNAP IT OFF ALA STEVEN SEGAL. OH YEAH AND YOUR BREATH STINKS LIKE A TIRE FIRE!!!!

Damn she pissed me off! So early in the morning too is a great way to screw up a whole day. I think I'll take a half day to regroup.

Ok I feel a little better now. Thanks for listening.

man, that sucks.
what a complete bitch. like the network admin would even need to be be at her computer to grab her files and delete them
and like anyone with any kind of computer knowledge would try to "sabotage" her so incompetently.
just because she doesn't know anything about computers doesn't mean that no one else knows anything either. she probably deleted them herself and didn't realize it.

See this is when you look at your regs for use of the computers at work, find the clause which prohibits going to porn sites or online shopping, and "find" all the cookies etc from the porn sites. Bring it up to her supervisor, saying that she was complaining of the computer being slow or something and get her a nasty reprimand

There's at least one like that in every office. My arch-nemesis calls me everytime she can't figure out how to double-click an icon and blames it on the server maintenance I did last year.

Write her up for failing to secure her computer.
Most companies require that a password protected screensaver be enabled on their system. And when they leave a workstation it must be locked.
The only way someone could have messed with her files is if she left her computer unsecure. Isn't there some logging done to se who logged onto her computer? If there is an extra Administrator login, someone who shouldn't has the admin password and it needs to be changed.

And file a grevience against her for harassing you. You don't have to accept abuse from people. The woman made a loud accusation with no proove whatsoever. She insulted your integrity. File a formal complaint. You know she is going to. You have a moral responsability to make users fear you. Allowing them to confront you in front of others is just wrong.

Yeah. At the very least, mark down the date and the circumstances of her incompetent behavior. I like to keep a log of stupid people with agendas, just in case they ever try to pull something.

Whenever I like to get back at someone, I play with the registry for a bit on their computer.

Either that, or I find a REALLY embarassing picture of them and make it their Boot up, Shut down, and shut off screen for Windows. :P :D

Thanks everyone for your words of kindness. That biotch has no idea what the wrath of a techie feels like, especially a pissed off techie. However it looks like this episode was the result of a much bigger event. Apparently this other biznatch, the supervisor who told me to change the password, was the one who deleted the files. Apparently the biznatch was pissed at the biotch for recently resigning. The biotch has 1 week left and the biznatch wanted to "teach her a lesson" so to speak. This is what I heard from the hyenas in the lunchroom.

So apparently the biotch who yelled at me is filing a formal complaint, and perhaps even a lawsuit, against the biznatch and my department. It will probably not affect the department, but I will probably be questioned for it. I am in the clear though since I was told by this supervisor to do it, and plus I have been there for 3 months, so I can still play the n00b card.

Pretty exciting stuff. I wish I was back in college!

I could only wish to have a job like that. My job is starting to blow and I called everyone within the area and got only 2 bites, but one of those sounds pretty good, and they guy was pretty nice.
