I am not sure if I got this one correct. If you guys could help me check this out would be nice. I am going to buy it, too
Buy Samsung 753 DF Monitor at Dell.com for 165.95
there are free shipping and 10% discount so >> down to $149.36
then pricematch with amex blue from this web
http://specs.emscomputing.com/cgi-bin/specs/specs.asp?pid="789461"&sid="3c6a274100d607622741d8b0e20c064e"&price="$133.00"
the cost would be $133
I saw this $40 rebate at outpost.com
http://image.fp.outpost.com/art/rebates_pdf/2876744.pdf
so... total = 133-40 = $93
Please help me check this deal... I appreciate it
Thanks

"Not valid for etailers" In a sense, outpost.com is a etailer which would void the rebate. This is a gamble. They have a legitimate excuse of refusing your rebate since your receipt you send them will show outpost.com which is in fact a e-tailer. If you purchase it at Fry's, that may be a different story, but you have to make sure Fry's is a participating store. I am done with rebates, been screwed too many times. I used to think rebates were great, not no more. I'd rather use that extra money somewhere else.

Here, BestBuy sells the Samsung 753 DF 17" monitor for $199.99
http://www.bestbuy.com/Detail.asp?m=1229&e=11008816
Get them to pricematch, and they have a $50! mail in rebate.

hey thank you for your suggestion
I didn't know before that the rebate that they provided was that bad....
anyway, If I buy this monitor at best buy for $199 + tax(8.5%) = $216
then got rebate $50 down to $166
then pricematch with lowest price I could find = $133
that means 199-133 = $66
so I have to pay 216 - 50 - 66 = $100
Total = $100
Not so bad.......What do you guys think?

If i buy this monitor at local best buy store, Can I pricematch this monitor with the online store...
I mean Best Buy will match the price or I have to call Amex.

AMEX BLUE only considers the selling price on their BVG (pricematch) and does not consider shipping. You have to call a AMEX CSR (800-557-8317) for the PM and get a claim no. Then you need to send all necessary documents (your receipt and lower price printout) via fax or regular mail. You usually get your check in about 2-3 weeks. Hope this helps.

Blue is a better deal because you save the shipping cost...
However if you don't have Blue
*********
you can pricematch the $133.00 + $26.97(shipping)
$133.00
+ $ 26.97
---------
$159.97 (pricematch at Best Buy)
+ $ 9.60 (6% sales tax. Damn our government)
---------
$169.57
- $ 50.00 (MIR because you bought it at BB)
---------
$119.57 Total
**********
If you just bought it on-line, it would be
$159.97
**********
With Blue, it would be
$199.99
+ $ 12.00 (6% tax)
---------
$211.99
- $ 66.99 (Blue difference)
---------
$145.00
- $ 50.00 (MIR)
---------
$ 95.00 Total
So to recap,
$159.97 (if bought at EMS Computing)
$119.57 (BB without Blue)
$ 95.00 (BB with pricematch EMS with Blue)
Man, I need to get a Blue card. =)
Good deals, considering everywhere else sells it for
200+ (shipped)

I'll tell you what happens... I'm in the process of doing the BB to EMS to Blue BVG (pricematch) + rebate thing right now!
Okay just to let everyone know on this deal, I've PM with AMEX on the EMS deal and they accepted! Just got my check a few days ago, I've already sent out my rebate so I've cleaned up on this deal!!!
So yes! It works!!!

I can still pricematch the monitor, right?
I am going to get one before Feb 16.....If anything wrong, I could return it back anyway.
