My D drive is 27 gigs of installed games. I'm too lazy to uninstall the ones I beat or don't play anymore.

My D Partition (Yeah, It's not it's own drive, I only have a single 10 GB Drive, so pity me.) is a 2GB partition for system files and OS

So what are people's impressions of XP so far? I have an old ass computer so I'm still using Win98. I figured I'll just upgrade when I get a new computer. So is XP a non-DOS based OS like NT & 2000? Is it really stable?

512K of RAM, you say? :hmm:
I thought we were in MB's now  .

anyhoo, to get the tags to appear, make sure the folder you want to modify is in Details View. right-click on any area of the the bar(s) just under the address bar (where the titles for the columns are), and just check off the details you want to appear. There are other details you can add, just click down to More...
then rearrange the column headers by dragging them to where you want them placed. Maybe resize them to make the names appear in full.
ok... hum I can't

yep, and yep.
its based on NT, using NTFS (but it can use FAT32 also, though not adviseable - NTFS is what makes win2k/XP secure and stable). Programs can crash, but it doesnt take with it the OS (like win9x or winme), and you can leave it on for days, even weeks without rebooting, and it wont slow down or have a sluggish performance.
chosen, are you saying you can leave 2000/NT on for weeks w/out rebooting, or just XP?
i ask because i'm running 2000 on my laptop for work. on my last project, i as doing a lot of web development and running a SQL server on my machine, along with various processes and services to make the program run properly. depending on what i was doing, and how many processes got started (and they never really seem to quit sucking up system resources, even when they're no longer in use), my computer would just start to DRAG.
sometimes, i had to restart in the middle of the day to clear everything out, and i definitely restarted in the morning (if i had left the computer on overnight), because otherwise it was just too slow.

I haven't rebooted my 2K machine at work for about 4 months. But it sounds like you have some processes that aren't behaving correctly.

i messed around w/ some of the processes.....i think it was the program i was doing development on -- it was kind of screwed up. fortunately, i'm not on that project any more, so i no longer have to worry about it, and i don't have a bunch of wacky processes running in the background. :)
