I think it may be a President's Day Weekend thing. Or perhaps they got the thinking that if they make it expire the next day from when they issue it, it'll pressure people more to use the coupon to save money. It sure worked on me, twice. But never again!!! ... I mean until the next time. ;)

I tried to take advantage of this offer at 10:00 pm EST (7:00pm Pacific Time) last night. The page with the offer was still up on Amazon's site stating that the offer was good until midnight PST 02/20/02. However, the coupon code was removed and the last one posted did not work.

I called amazon.com toll free upon verifying the page on their web site that says $20 off $99, the rep courteously adjusted the item I purchased by $20 + free saver shipping. YMMV, but it is worth a 5 minute call to save the money.
