View Full Version : Need help connecting to & from my hubby's computer.

Ok, will try and give as many details as I can think of, but let me know if you need anything in addition:

My computer:
Windows 2k
Laptop
IE 5.5

Scott's computer:
Windows 98
Desktop
IE 5.5 (I think)

Connection:
Cable

SMC Barricade router
Toshiba PCX1100 cable modem




Can anyone walk me through the steps of setting up a network or whatever so that I can see his computer on my laptop and he can see my laptop on his computer? Please? :) Thanks!

Make sure you have File and Printer Sharing installed on both and then just share the drives.

right click on Net Neighborhood, go to properties you should have a button that says File and Printer Shareing or something of the sort,
then go to the Drive you want to share in My Comp, right click on it and go to sharing, allow all access or passworded access and ur set :D
