I'm going to Korea next month. Perhaps I could smuggle some of these things back with me. I'm sure they would work as long as I could get programming instructions.

how did you get them dinky little korean phones to work here in the states? chip mod? if so, which service are you using?

I thought they only used GSM over there. And it's a different frequency than over here. So how did you get it to work?

Korea is CDMA 800 and , I think 1700 mhz

Technically, you can program your phone on Verizon in the US. You won't have analog backup, but you won't need that in a major city. iF you have the programming codes, Verizon CS people are more than happy to register your phone on their network.

Yeah, if you can't find a chip...you would just have a REALLY LONG distance phone number....:heh:
