Isn't the date 2/20/02? We would have been "symmetric" on 2/02/02 -- 20:02, 2/02/02, 2002.

numerology... finding significance in numbers...
from dictionary.com: The study of the occult meanings of numbers and their supposed influence on human life.
moderately sarcastic invitation to the numerologist inside everyone -the one who feels some slightly deeper satisfaction at the new millenium than they did at new year's 1998 or 2002, who pays attention to the odometer rolling over to a bunch of zeroes - to divine the meaning of the Big Symmetry Moment and make some predictions about what it will do to the state of humanity.
now quit pickin at me to explain every damn thing i say. it's 930 am, damn you! damn you all! you will all turn to cinders if i think about you really hard at the BIG MOMENT! BWAAAHAAAAHAAA!

BWAAAHAAAAHAAA! i just didn't see any "occult meaning" there is all. (occult meaning "hidden," for anyone who wants to attach meaning to the actual study or practice). i didn't know if my personality would change, the earth would blow up, i'd win the lottery, my coke would turn to pepsi, or whatever. by what you're saying, it's just a curiosity...numerology is more than about curiosities :P
don't even get me started as to how this event is entirely more rare than the rolling over of the odometer :D
anyhow, i don't pick on you any more than anyone else, proportionately, that i want to know the meaning of what's said or need clarification. most people just answer the question ;)

I was sitting here, then looked at the clock and realized that the "magic moment" had already passed me by. Oh well.... :|
