got on stage last night. it went well. real musicians (the actual paid band who played the next set) were polite enough to applaud. nobody screwed up. nobody's head exploded.
*whew*
i think we will be getting on stage regularly now.
i wussed out and only played the doghouse cuz it's reeeeeal hard to screw up... but next week i'll play my mandolin and maybe soon i'll even bite the bullet and get up there with my fiddle... maybe even sing! *gasp*
the last of the shy little kid in me is slowly going away...
and apparently we have a reputation for being "intemperant" ... the three of us were each in our own private very bad place last semester, and apparently we got a mite bit rowdy when we showed up to sit in the audience every monday night last semester... it was actually more from trying to blow off some stress by having manic fun with our friends than from drinking any exorbitant amounts (tho that did happen once or twice...) so now the name of our band, "temperance house," gets roundly made fun of by the guy who runs the open mike night... good clean fun, i tell you.
