if you have any love for beer and you're in the area, you MUST go. i went in 1998 and 2001. it's 200 cask conditioned ales from 50 breweries... and cask conditioned ale is amazing. bottles and kegs kill a lot of the delicate flavors of malt and especially hops... you won't believe how good cask-conditioned ale is

tickets are $15 at the door (too late to preorder now, but they hold 150 tickets for sale at the door, which is more than enough), which gets you a souvenir glass and 4 tasting tickets; each tasting ticket gets you a 4 oz serving of one of the beers; additional tasting tix are $1 each. cheap way to have the greatest beer experience of your life. and it's held at goose island wrigleyville, which is right next to chinatown if i'm remembering correctly, so you can have an awesome meal while you sober up for the drive home afterwards.

there are three 4-hour tasting sessions, one friday evening march 1st, one saturday afternoon march 2nd (that's the one me n positiverolemodel are hittin) and one saturday evening.
