Looking for a Power supply, I need a 400 Watt one. Also want to pay less than $50 with shipping or something close to that. The cheaper the better. My question is, I need a good one with those requirements recommended to me. I want something decent so if you know something about them let me know what i should get or where i should get it from. Also why does a PSU really matter besides the wattage. Like what are some of the differences in the different ones out there. Looking to be eduacted on these so please let me know what you can!

Well personally I'd rather stick with the more popular brands like Enermax or Antec. The difference is usually the quality of the product, when buying a power supply from an unknown manufacturer, who knows if they used cheaper components that won't last/perform as well. People who use Enermax or Antec are usually a lot more happier knowing that they're using a reliable PS. They're more expensive though :( oh yeah, the Enermax has a mesh loom for the motherboard power cable, which is nice for people with a window on their case. Oooh, the 431W enermax also has 2 fans with gold grills, one is temperature controlled and sucks in heat from the CPU area, so that's another plus :)

For some odd reason.. i trust this one.... I bought one the other day. They said they went through 2 week nonstop test w/ it.. and it seemed fine.

heh - get 2 and use both - that way you have WAY more than enough. More than enough is much better than JUST RIGHT. What if you decide to add another drive? That takes another bite out of the PSU, and soon it'll be working much harder than it should be, and may die on you. trust me, you dont want an errant PSU to die on you, taking with it the mobo, HDD, CDROM, and RAM....

i was thinking about it and i was wondering where i would put the 2nd psu...i' dumbfounded

I dont know about other people - but AccessMicro has sucked really bad....they messed up 3 times out of 2 orders...they have no customer service either...For instance, on one order, they sent me the wrong item. So, after going thru hell, I finally get the RMA and ship it back only to have another incorrect product sent. By that time, I had no choice but to use it. Now they refuse to credit the difference between the item I paid for and the item they shipped..
So - as far as my experience - unless you want to buy one product yet receive another - go with someone else.

As far as PSUs...I have an Enermax and it is quite nice. I think I got it from bestbyte computers or something to that effect..(http://www.bestbyte.net)

some cheaper PSU burn out because the heatsink on the internal parts is cheap and better ones have better colling both for your case and for the PSu with a huge heatsink inside. They also have less voltage spikes which could potentially cause a problem. The Enermax Wisper 430watt is about $90
