So, my brother blew one of my monitors. He said he came home and the monitor just turned off. It is making a noise that sounds just like a clock. Like a faint clicking noise whenever it is plugged in. Any ideas of what this could be? The light on the monitor doesn't come on (the one that indicates it is on).

The clicking sound is probably coming from the power converter, or more specifically, the high-voltage divider, which is the assembly between the flyback transformer and the CRT anode. You could possibly have this replaced, but it would be a pricey repair. I hope it is still under warranty!
