I know this may sound like a dumb question, but I just purchased my first laptop and am relatively inexperienced with them. But does anyone know if it's difficult to change the cpu for laptops? Do they just drop into a socket like desktop CPUs or are the sautered into the motherboard? I don't plan to change the CPU any time soon, but would like to know if I have that option later.

Thanks

Its usually something thats not really desirable. Since some manufacturers even soldier the cpu into the motherboard. And for the others, its hard to access. Your best thing is to not consider ever upgrading the cpu and buy what you can afford now.
