I realize that Blizzard makes nothing but quality, but when I bought Starcraft years ago after loving Warcraft2, I was really disappointed. Starcraft is one of those games that you either love or hate.

My questions are:

Is Warcraft 3 one of those games that one loves or hates? Is it more like Starcraft then its like Warcraft2? Is it similar to Kohann...with the hero system?

I guess you won't know until you try it.
I liked Starcraft, however I lost interested in the storyline after a little while. I didn't like the fact that they forced you to play all sides.

Kohan sucked. I didn't like it at all.

i saw a friend play his beta version. though i was never into this type of game, this one seemed impressive..both visually and thru gameplay. my friend said it was a mix of starcraft and diablo with less emphasis on "building" and more on "action."

Ya, it is fun to play. It is definately better visually (and you can zoom in like Empire Earth). I also took notice to the sound effects. I will have to play it more to get a real feel for it. I do belive it will be worth it to you to play it.

I agree. It is a lot like starcraft but with a sort of mix of diablo and some other games in there with the heros and all. Maybe that is the new direction they are going... next game Warcraft: Diablo.... lol. I have enjoyed it quite a bit in the small amount of games that I have played.

From what I saw the retail price is $60 though.. games just seem to keep going up in price. But most likely it will be worth it, I mean I played warcraft I & II and starcraft forever so we will see.

Not a bad game I have to say. I'm not all that impressed by the graphics though. Its neat, but not a WOW.

problemo with that is if you want to play online, you'll have to fiddle with those key generators a few dozen times before you find one that works online. btw, i heard blizzard may start charging for play on battle.net.. was I misinformed?

Better buy the game and stay away from the key generators ...

Blizzard has announced that with WC3 they will crack down on fraudulent keys etc.. big time .. and its quite easy to do .. so i am pretty sure it will have consequences ..

the generators may work .. but they arent safe .. and hey .. if you want good games, you should buy them and support the people making them ;P

WC3 might be sweet .. but i am looking forward to C&C Generals.. now THAT looks sweet *g*
