I'm interested in buying a higher end dig camcorder, anywhere between 700 and 900 dollars. I only want a Canon and Sony, because they're the best. UBID sells mostly JVCs, which suck, but when they do have Canons and Sonys for auction, they're all under consumer exchange. I've noticed that a lot of these places are all oversees and ALL have 0 feedback rating. I was wondering if anyone had positive or negative experiences with buying, specifically expensive things from UBID's CONSUMER EXCHANGE thing, not from Ubid themselves. Maybe I'm just overreacting...I dunno. Help?

BTW, i'm interested in a canon elura 2mc, 20mc, or a canon optura 100mc. Also Sony PC9. If any of you know where I can get ANy of these 4 for about 700 to 750, from a reliable place. I'll do it.

Yahoo auctions, electronics. I see one of the ones I want for 699 but the place only has a 3 out of 5 star rating. I can't find the addy for the place, but most of the places are based out of tiny hole in the wall joints in brooklyn. I've been researching this crap and I dont wanna pay a restocking fee. Anyways, go for it?

Shouldn't this post be in the Need Deals section? =P

I'd research a bit more about the cameras. Canon and Sony aren't the only two good digi cam brands. Nikon and Olympus makes a great one too, although I don't know the exact model number. I have the Nikon Coolpix 990, back when it was top of the line, and it works fairly well.

I'd just try and order it from a well-known online place who sells the product. Buy it from them, find a website with a lower price and pricematch it using American Express Blue later on. That way at least you know you can likely return it, theres warranty, and you won't get cheated. Sure, you may have to pay more upfront, but it works out. =)
