i have an mz-r500. it came with a pc link accessory. basically its like an adaptor that connects to your usb port. Your comp should then automatically detect the new audio device, and then feeds your audio output through the usb port. The other end of the adapter is connected to the line-in of the md player.

hope that helps....

That usb link works technically like a sound card. What you'll need to do is plug it in and install the drivers. Then when you're ready to record, you'll want to change under multimedia the soundcard to the usb link. When you select it, start up a player and hit record on the minidisc. Don't worry that sound is coming out of your speakers because its being sent to the usb link.

A remote lcd controller may work if you have a small rectangular shaped port right next to the earphone plug in. I don't know what the model you have is off the top of my head. But most likely your supports it, I believe almost all of the sony MD's actually come with a remote unit. . .

The text has to be entered in manually. I think the pc md decks they have come with a program that will encode the text but other wise you have to do it manually. Thats why I got the JBS-940 deck that has a ps2 port so I can plug in a keyboard and type out my text nice and quick.

I don't think you can d/l it. . . you have to buy it if that. . . I think it only comes with the unit. Gimme a bit to find a link.
