i am so stoked to have discovered something totally cool! probably many of you already know this, but for those who dont:
in Display Properties - Appearance, go to Effects... turn on ClearType. It makes a world of a difference!!! My ViewSonic VG150 looks so killer-bad-ass right now, its unbelievable!

I thought ClearType was a XP feature?

It's an XP feature that's made to benefit LCD's.

It benefits CRTS too. I think it looks better with it on. I keep it on both my LCD (Laptop) and CRT monitor.

tried it using my CRT.. just made things look darker and with a lil shade on some things.. started hurting my eyes =P

I tried it on my CRT & didn't notice a difference...

Hmm.. Im not sure. Im on an NEC LCD1530V and it kinda hurts my eyes with that on.

The technology was meant to be used with lcd's with normal color order (Green-Red-Blue i think) one some monitors the order is different so the result looks worse than it should

Which LCD you guys are using?
Any thoughts about Sony SDM S51 or M51D ?
I'm looking for a decent LCD with 300-400 range.. any suggestions?
