Just got this email:

Get $25 when you send $250 or more internationally by March 31, 2002 with c2itSM service.* It's just one of the ways we've made sending money overseas a more rewarding experience for you.

Send money now! Make an international transaction by March 31, 2002.

*Offer subject to change. You will receive instructions for redeeming your $25 incentive by April 30, 2002 via an e-mail to the e-mail address registered to your c2it account. To be eligible for this offer, you must have received this e-mail from Citibank, and have sent $250 or more in one lump sum internationally between the date that you receive this e-mail and March 31, 2002. You must send $250 U.S. (or equivalent), not including any fees or charges. You will be charged a transaction fee to send money internationally. This offer is limited to one $25 incentive per c2it account and must be redeemed within 90 days of receiving the e-mail.

**International transactions will be sent in U.S. dollars, Euros, or the currency of the destination country. A currency exchange rate will be applied when U.S. dollars are converted to another currency. United States currency is converted to foreign currency at an exchange rate set by c2it service. Any difference between the exchange rate at which c2it service purchases foreign currency and the exchange rate given to c2it customers will be kept by Citibank in addition to the transaction fees charged. For more details see c2it(gotapex link) (http://www.qksrv.net/click-268435-5835083)

I just went to send a international transfer to Japan, I couldnt figure out why my calculations werent coming out right.
When I looked at the exchange rate c2it.com is giving me it was
calculating @

"1.00 USD = 119.64313601 JPY"

but actually the exchange rate is really
"1.00 USD = 128.600 JPY "

the fine print (**) says
"** In addition to the transaction fee, any difference between the foreign exchange rate given to you and the foreign exchange rate received by c2itsm Service will be kept by c2it."

Thats a big difference actually. I saved $150 by not using c2it.com and paying the person I was dealing with a 2.5% surcharge for using paypal.
