SS: Sick Kid AGAIN

Poor Josh. :( Definitely got his dad's & my drainage problem. (LOL)

He started running a fever last night, coughing, lots of congestion. He slept in my bed with me so I could take care of him easily last night while Scott slept on the couch so he could get some sleep (he had to work at the church this morning).

I didn't get to sleep til around 3:00. Woke up at 5:30 off and on until 6:00, gave Josh more medicine, slept off and on until just before 8:00 when he threw up phlem all over the bed. *sigh* So now he is resting on the couch watching Rugrats and I'm blearily trying to wake up more. (I did put laundry on, though, so I'm at least a little awake, although trying to form a coherent sentence to Scott on the phone was quite the experience. lol)

As a child, I was a very sick little boy too. I literally went through gallons of Dimetapp! It was crazy!

Everything changed for the better though when I had my tonsils and adenoids removed in 5th grade. :)

Now I rarely get sick!

My poor baby. :( He's worse today. Still fever (although the meds keep bringing it down), throwing up phlem, etc. He gagged so hard earlier that he broke blood vessels in his eyelids and around his eyes and even a few in his eyes. :( It was horrible.

Fevers are good for the body though. They kill the bacteria. Hope your kid gets well soon. :)

that sounds serious.. =/ are ya going to take him to see a doc? hope he gets better, and you get some rest.. ill pray for you two.

Well, talked to the doctor and she is having us come in and get a strep test done. She's sure enough that it is strep throat that she has already called in a prescription.

Poor Josh. :( He is absolutely miserable.

I probably had strep through at least two dozen times when I was a wee lad. I had many shots (ow! my rear!) and drank many, many bottles of that pink strawberry-flavored medicine (antibiotic, I think). It was no fun at all! Like I said, that all went away when my tonsils were taken out. I wish they had been gone a lot sooner! :(

I hope Josh gets better soon and I hope that he does not continue to get it!

Wow! All yesterday and today, Josh is feeling much better!!! The anti-biotics are working wonders! He still is coughing a little bit (more this morning than yesterday) but not nearly as much. Plus he isn't complaining at badly about his throat hurting (I'm guessing since he isn't coughing quite as much?).

He ate dinner last night for the first time in 4 days and actually slept by himself all night in his bed! w00t!
