i'm gonna get a new monitor in the 19-21 inch range. what specs should i look for? i kno i need a refresh rate over or around 75 at the display i want, but what else? are there any good deals at the moment for a monitor? thanks alot.

look for a low dot pitch too, .25 is pretty good anything under that is better.

Yeap dot pitch should be around .25 or so!

Also, get a flat screen (not LCD - flat tube).

IMHO, it makes a big difference in the display. Make sure you look for one that's horizontally AND vertically flat. Sony makes a really nice flat screen tube that everyone sells under their own brand - Dell uses it, IBM, Sun, etc.

.25 dot pitch about, like everyone said.

Also, max resolution and refresh rate. I made the mistake of buying a monitor that had a crappy refresh rate at high res and it kills my eyes.

Same as everyone else...

Low dot pitch, and a high refresh rate max.

Ideally, look for one that supports resolutions and refresh rates even higher than you think you'll use. Don't just grab one that has a max at exactly what you want to run.

As a "luxury" feature, look for one with a USB hub built in. It'd sure be nice to plug USB stuff into the hub built into your monitor, rather than reaching over to the pc... Really handy if you use a USB keyboard and/or mouse.
