Hey guys, cut him some damn slack. Joker's a friend of mine, just joined the forums. Brandon (aka Bear, also a friend) is just trying to get his name out in the community. I told them what an awesome place G|A? was and how the forums were really a great place to come and talk. Maybe I'll rethink that statement from now on.

Don't be such complete asses to anyone who is new. Not everyone has bad intentions in this world. Grow up a little bit. The world doesn't revolve around you.

I thought it was pretty damn good! I only wish I could put something together like that..*sigh*..I can't even photoshop..Tell Brandon Henry that the sight is very good-but the music is somewhat numbing.

When it did load, I'm happy to say that I was impressed.

Basically, admitting to spam, or what could very well be easilly mistaken for spam.

Now, if hes your friend, and plans on sticking around a while, then its not really spam. SPAM is when you signup so you can post your site, and then never return.

Personally, i didnt even look at the site (well, it was loading too slowly) so i cant comment on the site, and everyone did sorta jump on him, but you have to admin, he seemed like a spammer at first.

I understand your point Nano, but people to need to step off their pedestals around here. Some people think they are above other because of post count and think that gives them some reason to rag on others, especially new people. If I was joker and was new to the site, I sure as hell wouldn't come back after being treated like that. It's becoming very annoying, to me at least, how people are beginning to be treated around here. Some is done in jest, but some of it is malicious and frankly quite old. Who cares what damn rank you are. Who cares how many posts you have. I don't feel like anybody should be "above" anybody else in these forums.

Agreed. I've noticed that as of late as well. I don't know if this is some sort of powertrip or something, but it's pretty unfriendly. I do have to say that was kind of rude to shoo him off like that. And the post count comment was certainly uncalled for. Its not like he was selling anything. He just wanted our opinions.
I guess I'll think twice about asking people's opinion on my website when I finish it. :2far:

As for the site. I think its well designed. It loaded up fairly quick on my computer. I think the animation is subtle but to the point. I love the little "special attention" on animation the little things. My only gripe with the site is that it isn't original. I've seen far too many websites that have the same overall look and feel. Its nice and orgazined, however its very commercialized. But it lacks a certain flare and personality to it. Hope my critique helps.

One thing bothers me, and that's the resolution of the main photos. Throughout your site, everything is crystal clear, from your logo to the rollover buttons, BUT the photos on the "CD Rom" and "Web" pages (and maybe "3D Art") are grainy. He said he was gonna work on making the loading time a bit shorter. He also fixed a problem with the Java script, so if you were having trouble viewing it earlier, try it now. Cheers.

It's not my site, it's my friends, but I will make sure he reads your post. He will be happy to hear that you think the site is well done.

I just talked to him and he said the reason for the first page was because of some of the people he is having check out the site. Some people tend not to be as web savvy.

Postcount, spam, whatever, I think that a good thing to keep in mind when you join a forum, is that you should think of what you can contribute to it as much as what you can get out of it.

If your first post is "Here is something that you all can do for me", I can see how that might start people thinking that your intentions are not the best.

Granted, jumping on someone who does this is still out of line, but I can understand why it happens.

It is a reliable layout and a much used one, I suppose and a little more personality couldn't hurt as mentioned before, and I also agree with Juju about the pic quality in '3d Art'.

I had no problems with loading time, so no complaints there from me.
