Anyone know of an easier way to use windows messenger service, like some kind of IM style program? it just gets kind of annoying to me to have to repeat the same steps every time i need to send a message using this.

Just use an IM service. I don't think Windows messenger was never intended to be used as a constant means of communication. If you're looking to send messages to the same person/people/domain all the time, you could write a batch file.

Here's something fun: rename your PC "Microsoft". Then send a message to another user about violating licensing or using Netscape or something. The messenger popup will be from "Microsoft".
