Alright I just downloaded and installed the sucker. (BTW you can find it HERE (http://www.majorgeeks.com/article.php?sid=1036))
Let's compare scores, here's mine:
BTW I know my HD sucks no need to point that out.
CPU Score: 4598
Mem Score: 3284
HDD Score: 318
CPU: AthlonXP 2000+
Mem: Mushkin PC2100 256MB
HDD: Junky WD 20GB
Hoser
03-12-2002, 03:26 PM
Athlon 1.3GHZ, 512MB SDRAM, 40GB ATA100 drive
CPU Score: 3111
Mem Score: 1935
HDD Score: 709
I'm thinking of getting a Dual AMD setup in the near future. I had an ABIT BH6 motherboard die, so I've got the case and all the peripherals sitting there looking for a new home. I'll run the benchmark when (if) I get the new system.

Looks like I'll have to get a motherboard that supports DDR. I didn't realize there'd be so much of a difference in speed.

Actually my post was a direct reaction to your post. I am glad people are going to upgrade. Maybe it'll stimulate companies to advertise more and allow RealGN to stop losing money each month.

There has gotta be something wrong with the program then. There is no way your puny 1200mhz AXIA @ 1378 could beat my AthlonXP 2000+ :P
Especially not by a margin like that. Seems like you discovered some bug in the system. I think you should run it again. All the scores I was beating you in except for the audio conversion one. I think it bugged while running. It'll be interesting to find out what caused that though.
Compare to mine here: http://service.madonion.com/compare?pcm=723

I ran it 3 times. The last 2 times the HD dropped to ~450 (I don't get that, either), but the cpu was still that insanely high score. The last one, the cpu was 49375.

:( Ok yeah my HD sucks.
Hmm maybe it's a glich with Win2K. This benchmark is completely designed for WinXP.
Damn that's soo freaking weird. It's just the Audio score that's high too. Hmmm do you have any audio extraction programs? Or anything like that?

Let me go into XP and see how it runs. I have to re-install XP because it is acting weird, but I will see.

Well, I tried it in XP and it gave around the same memory and HD scores as in the screenshot I posted here, but it gave N/A for the CPU. I tried it 2 times and got the same thing. My system must have gotten a little retarded after the cpu burnout. I think I need to reflash the bios too, becuase everytime I reboot, I get the BiosBlock thing.

After running this last night, my computer wouldn't start. The HD lights stay on, DVD and CD-RW lights stay on, but nothing happens. The monitor just stays blank. I tried it this morning and it turned on fine though... yeah I'm worried now :(

I dunno though, I think it's just my comp because whenever it acts as a counter-strike server, it wouldn't start the next time I turn it on. And how the heck did speedo get such high CPU scores?

MEM 3414
HDD 1642
Athlon XP 1800+ (OC to 1.725 GigHz)
512MB Crucial PC2100 DDR

What RAID controller are you using? the one thats built in the SOYO board? (if so, what chip is it using?)
Using the onboard RAID, the Promise FastTrak100-Lite controller. Seems to work well, for on-board.
Not sure why my memory score is lower, my FSB is at 150. It was stable at 155, but when I went to RAID 0, I dropped it to 150 to be safe. Now that everything is running smoothly, I may go back up to 155...
