View Full Version : Greetings from Lake Tahoe
Hey y'all. Haven't been on lately. I'm in Lake Tahoe at Heavenly snowboarding. It's incredible. Drove here from Houston, 2 day drive but totally worth it. A friend's neighbor is the owner of the Saints and he hooked us up with an incredible mansion up here. We have 12 people and a bed for every single person. Pool table, sauna, jacuzzi showers. Just incredible. Best part is it's FREE. Anyways, Lake Tahoe is a great place. Snowboarding is a bit hard since i've never been but I mostly have the hang of it now. You meet a lot of hot chicks knocking them down on the bunny hill ;) I took a bunch of pictures of great stuff. Lots of stories from the road trip too. Anyways, just saying Hi, i'll be back home on Saturday night i'm hoping. Well, back to chillin with the people here. See y'all in a week ;)

Snow in the Sierra Nevadas is typically called "Sierra Cement".
It is definitely not like Colorado or Utah, which has relatively dry, fluffy snow (low water content). Snow in the Sierras has a high water content because it's typically the first mountain range that storm systems have to climb up over on their way eastward and they will drop a lot of their moisture to get over them. While the high water content is very important for California, it doesn't always make for the funnest snow to ski/snowboard on (because it's not powdery).

More time than I could count. The gash is from when i flipped and smashed my head on the edge of my snowboard. Another time i slipped on ice and just kept sliding down the hill till my face hit a girls back. My oakleys shattered on my face, it sucked. The other ones just caused bruises ;)

Hi Memo - I don't know if you are aware, but you can send the Oakleys back and they will send you a free pair. My baby bro does it everyear, sometimes twice

Ya i've sent the broken oakelys in before. These are actually the 2nd pair of oakleys I broke this year. There goes a good $300 down the drain. The thing is the warranty is out on them and they only replace the frames not the lenses. I just trashed them. And no I didn't get the digits of the girl I smacked into. She was about 12 years old and her dad was next to her and very pissed that I nailed her (hahahahha). I did meet lots of other girls on the slopes tho knocking them down or them knocking me down, was great fun :)

That's a picture of a picture they had in the house. I couldn't get the picure to come out without any reflections because of the glass covering it.

I am not a perv. These girls pulled up next to us while I was driving and flashed us. This was while we were driving through Pasadena on I-5 or I-10 or maybe...215? I don't even remember. Anyways these girls pulled up next to us and flashed us and then proceeded to strip while driving. They started getting all into it, it was great. Too bad the dumbass I gave my camera to take pictures with didn't get any good ones. If I hadn't been driving we would have some great shots :)
Well, it sounds like you had a great time, I'm glad! Tahoe is wonderful.
My husband always gets beat up snowboarding, too. He broke his ribs the first time. Of course he didn't go to the doctor so now he has a huge lump on his chest where they healed screwy.
