I disagree. I think DBZ rocks. However... I don't wanna see a live action DBZ either. I think the live actio DBZ will blow. :mad: :mad:

I like DBZ also....but I agree with molecularfire in that it should stay an anime thing!

Nah, with special effect the way they are nowadays, seeing people fighing in mid air with energy bursts and such will be quite a treat.

It'll all be worth it just to see how they handle Vegeta.

Yeah, but the problem is that these types of movies end up being all special effects. I wanna good storyline. :(

granted, i've never played a Tomb Raider game, but I thought Tomb Raider was a pretty good movie... hell I look forward to purchaseing it, and I already own the soundtrack... so...

english dubbed DBZ=sucks
japanese version DBZ=cool

that's usually how it is with most animes.

true, street fighter/mortal kombat/double dragon were all terrible movies. HOWEVER, it's up to the director/producer to make it worthwhile.

I'm curious to see how they do the hairs. i mean it looks cool with the anime characters having the straight up hair, but i don't think it will look that cool on a real person. also, karilin (sp?) doesn't have a nose in the comics. how they going to handle that? (j/k)

i think time will reveal all.

Anime is too mass marketed these days.. that's why you have all the n00bz going around asking for downloads.

Furi Kuri
Cowboy Bebop
Tenkou no Esukafuloune (escaflowne)
Love Hina (Rabu Hina)
Trigun
Noir
Ah! Megami Sama! (Ah! my Goddess)


among the many other series out there

they're showing a dubbed escaflowne movie in downtown SD's horton plaza. the dubbing's horrible, but the artwork is amazing despite how ugly the original characters look. with AMG, i think they ran out of funding so they could only produce 5 episodes but b/c the movie was so successful they're thinking of picking it back up. they do have an AMG-mini goddess series which is hilarious, so that's a good sign that belldandy's still alive =)

anyways back to the topic at hand: ANY anime that has been dubbed and adapted to the american public is something to avoid. DBZ - 20 minutes of pseudo-trash talk, and very little action. fox just BUTCHERED escaflowne, and i'll never forgive them for that.

psycho - Have you ever seen the series named "X"? It's awesome! If you have seen it I suggest checking it out!

Darkfury - I actually liked the first one (Mortal Combat)....but the second one was HORRIBLE!

Mortal Kombat Was great! I love the DBZ anime but live person... Who would play vegeta? Heh I can't picture any non asian playing it.
