i need some help... i'm looking for that kick ass summer job right now, and i was wondering if anyone has info htey would like to share.
i was thinking about moving to maybe cape cod (or the like) and working as a waitress or something similar for just the summer. i know i've heard of a few people who did similar things, but i have no idea where to start.
also, it would be awesome if i could find somehting working w/ the environment, like for the EPA or for the Geologic Survey, but i'm not sure how hard those things are to come by.
any leads would be appriciated!

EPA and geologic survey... durn near impossible. even the ones that say they have open applications, they already have someone in mind (like a senator's kid) and interviewing others is a formality. at least for the paid ones... the unpaid ones are somewhat easier to come by

well, a (sorta) friend from high school used to work for christine whitman when she was governer of nj, and she might even still work for her... so i've been thinking about trying to get in touch w/ her to see if she can help me out. cause u know, good old chrissy is head of the epa now ;)

look into safety issues first... you've got no escape, and no way to call for help, and some lines have a bad reputation for beign rape factories...
boy, dint that just take the fun out of it? :disa:

not sure what school you go to Stylee, but you might wanna check with your school's chem dept. or environmental engineering dept to see if they can hook you up or at least get you pointed in the right dirction for the EPA stuff.
hopefully i'll be going to kenya to work in a hospital with AIDS patients this summer. or maybe belize to work in a clinic. thats my idea of a fun summer!
