Chariots of Fire -classic

I just finished watching Chariots of Fire..I forgot how good that movie was. What's amazing is that Ian Charleson and Brad Davis both died of Aids and were both in the movie..(not that THAT has anything to do with them dying)..it's just wierd. Anyone else watch it?

I've seen it a number of times (not recently, though). I just enjoy the portrayal of the character of Eric Liddel (sp?) in the movie.

Shortly after Chariots of Fire came out, I remember that the movie "Ghandi" was in the theaters, and found it interesting that a number of the same actors were in it.

I forgot that Charleson was in Gandhi until you just mentioned it..I think he was a minister in that one too wasn't he? I liked the movie Gandhi-especially now that it's on DVD. (It's my facination with Indian people) Alot of people don't know that Ben Kingsley who played Gandhi is Indian by birth-his real name is Krishna Banji...How's that for trivia?

Yes, although not of the same level of character as he portrayed in Chariots of Fire.

that movie is comign up in my life all over the place. it was on TV yesterday and my roomie was watching it, and then tonight i heard a guy talking about it in a sermon. i've never seen that movie, but i think i need to. the music is UNFORGETABLE. the theme song is the best ever. well, i know what movie i'm going to rent this weekend...
