The four skaters were to wear outfits inspired by Moulin Rouge.

But the president of the judges said the act was embarassing and he could see the girls' hips and pants.

Tgcom website reports the Project Show Brescia team has been given seventeenth place following disqualification.

Spokesman Paola Perani said: "It's not true that people could spot our hips, as our underpants were covering us down to there.

"Obviously we tried our dresses on before the competition, to make sure they fitted the regulations of the championship, but the judges decided they didn't.

"We are very disappointed, really, and we'll never participate to any competition again."

Since they obviously can't agree what skaters should be able to wear...

...maybe they should just ban outfits entirely. :D

While it could have its benefits <Ahem Katerina Witt and Jamie Sale> . . . the sight a naked male figure skater going into a tight spin would be rather disturbing! :puke: . . . darn centripetal force!

It would appear that everybody who looked at the picture paid no attention to the skates that they were wearing, else it would quickly be realized that all this talk about ice has nothing to do with the story. :rolleyes: :hmm:
