i agree...and i'm an avid linux buff. i guess it goes along with the 'i can put linux on anything' mentality of the penguin community. i mean it's cool i guess to be able to develop games on a new platform, but the controllers and dvd-drive are not readily accessible thru linux. definitely something i'll wait a long time before investing in.

just don't see the plus side to the linux kit....yet

what WOULD kick butt is if the developed games could be just recompiled for our computers :)

Or you could put GIMP on your ps2 and use the awesome memory bandwidth for some hard core image editting.
