I've used CyberRebate twice so far. And I've had no problems with my checks. They came on time. And their website is very uptodate on the status of the checks.

Wow. Yeah I agree you gotta have the cash cause the rebates take a while, and it seems like the 10-14 weeks they advertise is an understatement. I'll give them a try. Thanks.
First I need to find another credit card (check card probably won't cut this one) since getting rejected for Blue)

Has anyone ever bought anything/heard about www.cyberrebates.com? (http://www.cyberrebates.com?) They're gimmick is that everything you buy there comes with a mail-in rebate, and to get the rebate you fill out some dumb survey. Thing is, a lot of the stuff is free after rebate, including some expensive things and I was wondering if anyone has ever dealt with these guys cause it seems a little too easy. Thanks

It was easy to fill out the stuff for the rebate. The hard part comes in getting it in a timely fashion. It took a couple of weeks longer than it was supposed to. I know that doesn't seem like much, but when you're waiting on what could potentially be a few hundred dollars worth of rebates, it can seem like forever.

Apex seriously endorses CyberRebates. If you click through the link on http://www.gotapex.com/deals if you buy something and have any problems with it (getting the rebates, checking out, etc), Apex has a direct link to their support. Most people I've heard have had positive response about the site. Yes, the rebates take awhile to get to you, but they DO get to you. http://www.gotapex.com/ubb/biggrin.gif Hope this helps!

I think Cyberrebate is great! The only problem is that when you buy something make sure that you have to money to pay for it first. It too them 4 months to send me my check but it finally did arrive.

I bought the crappy CB radio in October. 4 months later their status page said the check was sent, but I never received it. I've been battling with them since March to get another sent... I'm to the point where I might just dispute the charges with my credit card company.

I've got to post my two cents on this one. I had a lot of problems getting my refund in the past. I had sent everything timely, even certified mail, resubmitted and nothing after 7 months! They wouldn't acknowledge my emails -- nothing. This happened two times. Then I got GotApex involved and they saved me. I got a personal call from cyberrebate and my money! I have since ordered from them with no problem. My advice: make copies, send everything return receipt and limit your purchases enough so you can keep good track of them. The items, in my opinion, aren't worth the initial price but after 4 months they are free and are definitely worth that!

yes..i tried it...I received the check yesterday. I was also skeptical, so I found a low price item and followed the rebate process exactly. I wake almost 3 months for the rebate/refund check...but it did arrive, so it works! I'm just waiting to see if they have something worthwhile to get...maybe those hand held radios 2 pk..they're very good for road trips...is there anything good on the site lately?? has anyone came across something good that is 100% free?

I have ordered from them as well, I bought the wireless headphone set like 3-4 months ago and just recently, like about 2-3 days ago, got my rebate check. SO I have to say it is very good. I will be ordering from them again soon.

I got a $50 laser pointer from them (I think you can still get it), it's got the different beam patterns ... They're checkout process is misleading in my opinion. Usually there is a page that tells you how much they will charge your credit card before you can finalize the deal. Here, every page says, $50 - $50 rebate = $0! So, I went through with it, and the next page said, $50 charged my card. I was pissed ( at myself a bit ) because I didn't read the procedure. I was under the false impression that it was an instant rebate. I got the item promptly and just mailed in the rebate form. It's a hassle definitely but it should be worth it if they send they check. Even still it's not like I can't afford it without the rebate, agreed?

Yeah, it sort of stinks that you gotta wait about 20 weeks for your rebate. That is how long it took me to get it on my $600 order. However, they are actually pretty cool about it. I forgot to affix the upcs to my rebates so the let me fax them. So, if you do not mind your cash being tied up for awhile, this is a great offer. I think they have free shipping offers once in awhile also and you can use ****** or something like that, to get your stuff even cheaper.

They are legit. Cyberrebates came through for me without any hassle, but like others, I waited. Here are some insights on using them (and for rebates in general):
1. A lot of the merchandise is worth maybe 1/10 of the selling price. Sometimes it is not even worth the shipping cost you will pay. If anything goes wrong with the rebate, remember you assumed the risk in trying to get something free. If it is an item you don't really need, you took an unnecessary risk.
2. Follow the rebate instructions exactly. I remember they had a requirement that submissions be stapled in a certain way, a first for this long-time rebater.
3. Don't fail to send it in. National averages for fulfilling rebates are astonishingly low. Many, many people simply forget to submit the rebate. OK, I admit my error. Don't repeat my mistake.
4. Keep copies of everything (but you knew that).
Good luck.

just make sure that you save the UPC!!! i cannot stress this enough!! i spent $34.99 on a dexxa keyboard, threw the box away without thinking, so i sent the rebate in without the UPC. i don't think i will ever see that 35 bucks again - it says that my rebate is pending. hmm, pending? that keyboard is worth 10 dollars. maybe.

I had 2 orders with them. The first order I had forgotten to put the reciept in, but Apex was able to fix it. The second order's rebates should be arriving in a few days. So in short, no I have not had a problem.

It sounds like a worthwhile opportunity, but my financial situation is such that I can't afford to spend so much money (i.e. the South Park game CD cost $100) and not see it returned until after 10-14 weeks have passed. Obviously, they are making money off of the interest that our money generates while sitting in one place for 10-14 weeks, so I know it's not probable that the rebate mailing time will go down. Until it does, I simply can't go for it.
(ed. Saw some painful grammatical errors I couldn't let go un-fixed... it's the damn codeine, I tell you! ;p)

i agree with Ben...the initial prices are so bad they are laughable, and it takes a quarter of a year to see your money. This is far from worth it for crappy little things... jusy my .02 though, I have no doubts to their trustworthiness...

I bought some stuff a while ago, totaling $400. They forgot to send an item and they just refunded me for it. (It tooks about a week to get their reply, and quite a few more weeks for an email about the credit posting to appear in my email). I got 1 check "early", and it looks like the rest are going to take 3 months to arrive. Since I ordered 8 tiems the rebate forms were quite a bit of work, but since I did them on the computer it went fast. Just cut and paste. Print out addresses, etc.
A later order I placed 2 weeks ago for a duffle bag was mysteriously cancelled. The day after I ordered it the online order status showed cancelled. And just yesterday I got the email from customer service about it. Their serivce is good, but customer service was a bit slow in my experience.

I ordered a while ago, and they still are working on my check. They say that my rebate check will be issued to me on approximately 8/10/00. I wonder if they make their money by being really slow so that they get to hold your money for 4 months and make interest on it....
Anyway, the check should be here ~ 4 mo after I ordered, and since it took me 2 weeks, to get the stuff off to them, it seems like it takes 14-15 weeks to get the rebate.

Ordered $300 of stuff. I only use the "digital" headphones because those are pretty good. Those wireless headphones suck like an AM radio. I sent in my rebates near the end of Feb. and they still haven't processed anything.
If you do buy something, don't go overboard like most ppl do. Since shipping is free now, there's no need to "maximize" your purchase when they used to have $5 shipping no matter how much stuff you got.
Even though I might get the money eventually, I don't plan on buying from them anymore. Their stuff isn't all that great.
