Salute buddy! So how does it feel not to be a newlywed anymore? A full year...I guess J.J. should finally qualify for sainthood!

Thank you all! It's been a full year now (we're not newlyweds anymore :( , just plain married folk) and Merlin should know - he was one of my Groomsmen. He was the one saying "We can be in Mexico in 2 hours..." before the wedding.

There are several reasons I got married on St. Patrick's day:

1) I'm Irish (my Brother lives in Dublin)
2) It's a date I definitely won't forget
3) She wouldn't approve my first date of choice: April Fool's Day. This is a family tradition that I wanted to continue because my Grandparents and Parents also got married on April 1st and I wanted to make it a 3-peat. But Noooooooo, she said I would never stop joking about it... ok, she may be right... :D

Mrs. Kevster works on Sundays, but we had a nice evening as well as a nice Saturday to celebrate our first year married.

Thanks again everyone!

Can't make things too complicated... I might forget something!

This way too, I get plenty of warning thanks to Hallmark, every grocery store, all the cheesy St. Patrick's Day celebration commercials on the radio done by people trying to imitate an Irish accent, etc.

If she would have gone along with the April Fools Day anniversary, I might not get warning until it was too late...

So when you really think about it it's actually a win-win all the way around for everyone.

:D

kev, if my memory serves me correctly (mine's a little fuzzy now and then), it seems that just the other day you were bragging about remembering almost every node name, country code, city code, in-band and out-of-band IP address of every switch in our network (http://www.gotapex.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=40751).
your anniversary shouldn't be that tough :heh:

j/k man. congrats, btw :)

While I can remember all that stuff on demand, I don't trust my memory to the really important things. As Merlin will attest, I am definitely one of those individuals that can get easily distracted (the tick)"Hey Look! Something shiny!"(/the tick).

Little reminders (or big ones in this case) always help. :D
