So the UCLA Bruins just upset the Cincinnatti Bearcats (or whatever the hell they are) to advance to the Sweet 16. Hell yeah. Go Bruins.

I'm sorry, but the UC vs. UCLA game was one of the most poorly officiated games I have seen in a long while. I'm not just saying this because I am a UC student and a Bearcat fan because many calls were missed or miscalled on both ends. Some of those fouls should have been on two UCLA players that were playing with 4 fouls, too. Granted, UC couldn't adjust to the change in UCLA's defense when they switched to the zone, but the referees really affected the pace of the game in the second half when they did not call obvious fouls, which favored UCLA's full-court offense. UC controlled the tempo of the first half via Steve Logan's effective play at point guard, but the second half was more run-and-gun, which is not really UC's style. They still have the best defensive team in the country, which flourishes under a half-court defensive set. Oh well, there's always next year, sans Logan. :(
