anyone seen or heard any news regarding the GF4 ti-4200??? Any previews on the net anywhere?
hasnt it been nearly 8 weeks since the first GF4's hit the market, when nvidia said the lowest Ti would hit the market??? :(
I'm in need of a low budget solution and want to see what the 4200 has to offer compared to an o/c'd GF3 ti-200...
Unfortunately the better value GeForce 4 Ti4200 won't be released until the end of spring. Nvidia wants to clear the shelves and product line of Ti500's first.
SANTA CLARA, CA— MARCH 18, 2002 — NVIDIA® Corporation (Nasdaq: NVDA), the leading provider of GPUs to the retail channel, today announced that graphics cards based on its award-winning GeForce™ 4 series of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) are now available from leading retailers worldwide. NVIDIA’s add-in board partners have stocked retail shelves with products based on NVIDIA’s GeForce4 Ti 4600 and GeForce4 Ti 4400 GPUs, as well as NVIDIA’s GeForce4 MX 460, GeForce4 MX 440 and GeForce4 MX 420 GPUs. Graphics cards based on NVIDIA’s GeForce4 Ti 4200 GPU are expected to be available at the end of April.

Finally, the missing sixth bullet from GeForce4 charger has been found. NVIDIA Company has officially reported, that videocards, based on the Ti4200 chip, should appear in shops in the end of April. As far as I understand, by that time NVIDIA hopes to sell out all GeForce3 Ti500 chips, and thus, GeForce4 Ti4200 will meet no obstacles on its way.
By the way, information about GeForce4 Ti4200 was published in the press-release, dedicated to the official announcement that all mainboards, based on the rest 5 chips of GeForce4 line (Ti4600, Ti4400, MX 460, MX 440 and MX 420), are already available in retail shops worldwide. Our congratulations to NVIDIA!
