looks like you have a goo handle on php-nuke or postnuke...

what are you running as far as webserver / OS / etc?

loaded a lot faster this time, and looks pretty darn good to me.

(i'm working slowly on a php site myself - http://www.nanotech9.com:180 - right now it looks like ass though, and everything is in teh wrong place, and i have no content up there... still playing with modules and whatnot.)

d00d Gotapex basically was teh start of PHPNuke. They guy that developed PHPNuke started with G/A (Or thats what i am lead to believe).

go to www.phpnuke.com or any site that uses it - you'll notice some interesting similarities, like the left/right menus, and whatnot.

Basically, you get apache, SQL, and PHP up and running, adn then you install PHPNUKE and select a theme. Theres 100's of themes to pick from that you can then go an customize, OR you can build your own theme (a bit harder). The themes come with instant forums, Downloads sections, and more. Lost of cool stuff, and its simple enough for someone like me to figure out.

that's what i was thinking too. personally, those kinds of sites aren't much of a draw for me, but they must draw someone since IGN is still going strong (i think). also, i noticed that a lot of the articles are taken from outside sources. i assume once you get more time or what not, you'll write/create your own content, right? otherwise there isn't muhc of a draw to your site. the layout and stuff looks great tho.
