If you're in LA and want PacBell, go to UCLA Student Store (Campus Communications) in Ackerman. I know one of the workers and right now they're having a deal where signing up gets you a free 6190, that's right, 6190, not 5190. Very good phone.

Me, I use ATT 'cuz PB raided my colon a while back and I am still majorly bitter. (Can you tell?)

PacBell is the way to go. You can sign up for free LD and mobile to mobile (which is REALLY useful if you're me). And, if you don't wanna spend too much money, you can sign up for the family plan (you just gotta shell out an extra $12 a month for another phone) and split it with a friend.

Definitely PacBell, their service area is the best. Their prices may be higher than Sprint, but its a no brainer when you consider how bad Sprint is in the area.

I just don't like them because of their POOR customer service. I know of atleast 3 people who have been severly screwed by them, including me. I got screwed $600+ by them, and my friends about $400+ each. Not fun when you just want to end your contract. Otherwise, I agree that the mobile-to-mobile is amazingly useful.
