Hi,
I am waiting for my Gainward Geforce 4 Ti4600 to come in the mail. In the mean time I wanted to get a HSF for the back side of the card.

Any recomendations? I was thinking an orb with thermal tape.
-Thanks

Ok Well Chrome Orb it is. Now about attaching it. If I put it on the back of the card, where all the little sodered ends are, will it short out the card? I want to use thermal goop and epoxy to make it stick, but I dont want to kill this card.

bad idea...I'd think you'd be better off with thermal tape, or clipping it on somehow.

it not really nessassary to have ram sinks, one good hs/f on the core should do the job

Well Firstly, the ramsinks come standard on the card. Second, I am talking about puting a HSF on the BACK of the core. The reason I am saying this is because all the reviews I have read stated how hot this chip runs. One or two of them said the back of the card ran rather hot too.
I put everything i buy to the limit plus a little bit. So I want to just go the extra mile and make sure everything runs not good, but great.

well, if you are overclocking, What I have done is aim a nidac fan towards the back of the card. I just don't like making random metal contacts on the back of my 400 buck video card.

Otherwise, I'd think thermal tape would be good enough for this application.
