MS Optical Wirelss mouse...making high pitched noise...

I got a Wireless Optical MS mouse...and i generally like it...i bought it used, it died a few days later, and then MS replaced it :)


Anyway, when it's real quiet in the house, and I'm using the mouse, I can here this ANNOYING high pitched sound comming from it...the noise stops a few seconds after i take my hand off it (some battery saving thing)...

Anybody else have this problem??....casue that noise is really giving me a headache.

Yep it does this with mine too, I think its "normal" :rolleyes: but it goes away slowly as the battery runs lower of charge. . . Guess its just the extra high powered sensor or something. . . anyhow I have gotten used to it yet I have this odd twitch now.

that's odd... all the MS opticals I've used never made a high pitched sound. Is it like the sound you hear when the TV is on? You know that "wheeeeeeeeeeeeee" sound that doesn't sound like wheeee. Anyway, i'm with logitech right now and that hasn't been a problem either. Maybe there's a dead animal in there.

No its not with all opticals, its with the wirless thing. I think the frequency of the radio or something. My friend has a logitech wireless and it makes the same noise, not as loud though much more faint.

i've got the logitech wireless optical....and i dont' hear anything...


maybe u have the reciever trasmitting thing too close to ur monitor or something?

i just got mine today.. SWEEEETTT!!!!!!!!

makes no noise i but my big ol ears to it and nothing

maybe yours has like a disease :)
